A '''tangle gum trap''' is a trap used in [[dungeoneering]] to trap and kill [[mastyxes]]. To make one, a player must use a [[Knife (Dungeoneering)|knife]] on a set of [[tangle gum branches]] with level 3 [[fletching]]. Then, the trap can be set on the floor of a room containing a mastyx to have a chance of catching it.
This trap can be used to catch any tier of mastyx, despite it being tier 1; the ability to catch higher tiered mastyx is dependent on the player's [[Hunter]] level rather than the type of trap used. However, a tangle gum trap likely has less of a chance of successfully catching mastyx than higher tiered traps.
