They are considered a high priority, as magic is generally something players fighting trolls often show little defensive interest towards, and can deal some damage. However, against [[black dragonhide armour]] or [[Void Knight equipment]], their magic attacks would hit next to nothing. They are also able to use Summoning to summon a [[Thorny snail]], [[Spirit scorpion]], [[Bunyip]] or [[Granite lobster]] of various levels to assist them with melee combat, although they mostly summon lobsters. Their familiars are also considered monsters and thus must be killed off before going on to the next wave.
