It requires level 68 [[Construction]] to build, along with 5 [[mahogany plank]]s and 20 [[steel bar]]s. When it is activated by a lever, it simply comes down on the floorspace, trapping people that happen to stand on the floor mat. Anyone can release the prisoner from the cage. Unlike the [[Trapdoor (POH)|trapdoor]], the person trapped can not escape.<br /> <br /> Building a steel cage gives 1,100 construction [[experience]].<br /> <br /> ==Trivia==<br /> *While the house owner is trapped in the cage, the butler will teleport a visitor into the cage with them. The visitors will remain trapped in the cage until they are released or leave.<br /> *It is possible to trap a servant in the cage by having him/her walk onto the floor decoration, quickly talking to it, then selecting the &quot;stop following me&quot; option. The servant should stay for a few seconds. During that time, it is possible to pull the lever and cage the servant in.
