'''Statius's platebody''' is part of [[Statius's Equipment]], and is obtained by killing [[Revenants]] in the [[Forinthry Dungeon]] or the [[Chaos Elemental]].

It requires 78 Defence to wear, and lasts for '''1 hour ''of combat''. '''That means that you can wear it and sell it again as long as you don't fight anything, just like Barrows Equipment. The corrupt version requires 20 [[Defence]] and lasts for '''15 minutes ''after you equip it''.''' You will know when it's degrading when a "(deg)" appears after the name of the item. After the time is up, the platebody will vanish.

A good method of gaining something back from the item before it vanishes is to have your character die in the wilderness when skulled. You will lose the item but gain approximately 1.5m coins in return if you return to where you died. This method is more lucrative then alching the item before it vanishes. This can be achieved by poisoning then allowing your character to die, or getting a trusted friend to kill you.
