A '''Staff of air''' is an [[elemental staff]]. It is an unlimited source of [[air runes]]. The element of this staff can be changed with [[crystal balls]] in a [[study]] of a [[player-owned house]]. Visually the staff of air is identical to the [[air battlestaff]] and the [[mystic air staff]] when one is wielding it.

Similar to [[slings]], this is dropped by low level creatures such as [[Goblins]].

It is one of the most popular staves in ''RuneScape'', because of its unlimited source of Air Runes, the most used [[Runes|Rune]] in spells.

With 85 [[Crafting]], players may attach a [[shade skull]] to the Staff of air, creating a [[Skeletal staff of air]].

==Trivia==
*The price for this item has been plummeting, due to low-levelled monsters that drop this item. These monsters have introduced a lot more staves into the game, meaning that more are being sold on the [[Grand Exchange]].
*Even though the [[air battlestaff]] and [[mystic air staff]] need a higher magic level to wield, they both have the same magic attack stat as the staff of air.
*Wielding an air staff now shows that the air staff has no white sphere at the top of the staff. This may be a glitch.
