[[Sir Vant]]'s '''Squire''' is encountered in the [[Unstable Foundations]] tutorial [[quest]]. He is first seen whimpering next to his master, and if talked to, he will tell the player to speak to Sir Vant.

Soon after you talk to Vant, the dragon will appear. A stray blast of [[dragonfire]] sets the squire on fire, killing him instantly.

He wields a [[bronze platebody]], [[bronze sword]] and a [[bronze sq shield]], however, before he is killed he seems to have the same bronze sword and platebody but an [[iron sq shield]] instead of a Bronze one. The bronze equipment is temporarily obtained by the player after the squire is incinerated.

== Trivia ==
*The Squire was one of the first NPC's to be given a voice.
*If you watch the Squire's shield when he is burnt and it points up into the air, it seems to change to a [[steel sq shield]].[[File:Squire_incinerated.png|thumb|The death of the squire]]
*When he was killed by the dragon his gear drops to the floor from where they used to be, instead of simply appearing on the ground like most monster [[drops]].
