A '''Small cast net''' is a reward for completing the quest [[Deadliest Catch]], along with the [[Big cast net]]. It is a wieldable version of the [[Small fishing net]] – it has the same function as a [[Small fishing net]] while fishing or hunting (with a rope as usual), but allows an extra inventory space when fishing. Players are able to get multiple nets from [[Jones the fisherman]] without employing the [[Drop trick]]. It is wielded in the offhand slot. It, as well as the [[Big cast net]] can be stored inside [[tackle box]]es from [[Fish Flingers]]. These nets can also be used as [[Small fishing net]] when using net traps.

Due to the release of the [[Toolbelt]], Small and Large cast nets became largely useless.
