A '''skills necklace''' is a [[dragonstone necklace]] that has been enchanted with the spell [[Enchant Level 5 Jewellery]]. It can carry up to four charges, each of which can be used to teleport to the entrances of one of four locations:

* The [[Fishing Guild]] north of [[Ardougne]] and southwest of [[Seers' Village]]
* The [[Mining Guild]] in [[Falador]]
* The [[Crafting Guild]] southwest of [[Falador]] and north of [[Rimmington]]
* The [[Cooking Guild]] west of [[Varrock]] and south of [[Grand Exchange]]

Like the other enchanted pieces of dragonstone jewellery, the teleports of a skills necklace can be used in up to level 30 [[Wilderness]], instead of level 20, the normal limit for teleportation. However, the skills necklace, being a piece of [[jewellery]] that focuses on noncombat [[skills]], gives no combat bonuses.

As long as it has at least one charge, a worn skills necklace will slightly increase the chance of finding a [[casket]] while [[fishing]] with a [[big net]]. Depleted skills necklaces may be recharged at the [[gilded totem]] on the ground floor of the [[Legends' Guild]]. '''Note''' that the skills necklace cannot be recharged by a [[geyser titan]].

Some players may find that skills necklaces are a useful and economical option for teleporting across ''RuneScape''. For example, using a skills necklace to reach the Cooking Guild is one of the quickest ways to reach the Grand Exchange (apart from casting [[Varrock Teleport]] with its destination set as the Grand Exchange, or activating a [[ring of wealth]]). Players who have completed [[Legends' Quest]] can recharge the necklaces at will, and the Legends' Guild is easily reached with the spell [[Ardougne Teleport]], or via the [[fairy ring|fairy ring network]].

An update on [[7 October]] [[2009]] improved the right-click options of a worn skills necklace. Previously, the options had been Unequip, Operate, and Examine, and a message came up in the chat box asking to which location to teleport. After the update, right-clicking an equipped necklace will result in the options shown below, where each of the teleport locations is a separate option. Teleporting with a skills necklace is quicker as a result, and it could potentially be used as an [[emergency teleport]] item, since combat will not interrupt the teleportation process in any way.
