Seren is the goddess of the Elves, although it is implied in the Path of Glouphrie that she may be the divine aspect of the Anima Mundi, and thus, possibly the goddess of nature, even though there is no proof for this.

History
Seren arrived in Gielinor in the first age, being the only known god besides Guthix to arrive during that age. It is also confirmed, in the quest Meeting History, that Guthix welcomed Seren and the Elves when they arrived in Gielinor.

Seren, after leading the Elves through the World Gate from her native realm into Gielinor's forest of Isafdar, created the legendary Tower of Voices from crystal. Here the elves constructed Prifddinas, one of Gielinor's first cities and the oldest settlement still in existence today. She was worshipped by them for millennia, and the worship continued even as the chaotic God Wars began. The elves went into hiding in Tirannwn when the wars commenced. When Guthix declared that the gods leave the world by the Edicts of Guthix, Seren sealed Prifddinas's undercity, including the Grand Library, with nine powerful seals; and though Seren is physically gone from Gielinor, the elves can still commune with her using the Tower of Voices. She then departed with the rest of the gods.

It is said that she inspired the elves to build Prifddinas in a way so that they could communicate with her, protect themselves and prosper. She is also the original provider of the Crystal bow and the Crystal shield and due to them bearing her powers, they are far more powerful than many weapons of other races. More information is provided on Seren and the history of Prifddinas in one of the books found in the bookshelves of Lletya. She is apparently present within all elf crystal.
There is one known altar to Seren found in the elven outpost of Lletya and it resembles the altar of Saradomin, except that it is made from wood and has no symbol in the place where one should normally be.

Other than this, Seren appeared to play a relatively small role in the God Wars, with most of the elves deploring chaos and nature-harmers.

Seren is also responsible for the creation of the Dire wolves, though they are found in the Zamorakian Chaos Tunnels. During the God Wars, creature of nature such as Grenwall (notably Dinsdale) also fought for her side.

When the Runescape-based game "Armies of Gielinor" was released on Jagex's Funorb website on 16 January 2009, the front page had stacked pillars depicting the followers and the symbols of the six gods whose followers you are able to control. Of those, only Menaphites (Followers of Tumeken) and Seren were previously unknown.

The figure for Seren, a white-haired elf, was flanked by a diamond symbol - a square turned through 45 degrees. As the Saradomin, Guthix, Zamorak, and Bandos symbols were in the same locations for their respective followers, it is likely that this is Seren's symbol.

Followers
*Elves
*Dire wolves
*Grenwalls
*Black bears
*Crystalline Shapeshifter (Not present in-game, but revealed in the FunOrb game Armies of Gielinor)
*Falcons

Affiliated Items
* Crystal Bow
* Crystal Shield
* Tiny Elf Crystal
* Seren Statuette

Trivia
*Seren is the Welsh word for star. This is the accepted meaning as nearly all other elven names are also in Welsh.
*The Seren statuette is the second most expensive Ancient artefact from revenant drops. It can be traded in for one million coins
*After While Guthix Sleeps, if the player closely sees the base of the statues from the six deceased warriors that fought Lucien, they can see something that looks like the symbol of Seren on it.
*There appear to be symbols of Seren on the prayer altars in Daemonheim. This could indicate that the Dragonkin (who built Daemonheim) worship, or are linked to Seren. Considering that the Dragonkin guard the Stone of Jas, which was used by Guthix to create the Anima Mundi, and that Seren is considered to be the divine aspect of the Anima Mundi, this is plausible.
*There is also a resemblance between the symbols on the prayer altars to that of the Norse Ingwaz rune. This is also plausible as Fremennik have many Norse connections.
*Near the Fremennik banker in Daemonheim, there is a pile of boxes. On the northern face of the bottom box behind a Fremennik shield, there is what resembles a symbol of Seren. Presumably, the boxes are of Fremennik origin, so the strange branding is yet to be explained.
*The above phenomenon can also be observed on the boxes near the Fremennik shipmaster in Al Kharid.
*Seren's symbol could be seen on the desks in the Grand Exchange before its graphical update in 2011; although it could have been just decoration, it was certainly worth a look.
*Caitlin's Staff appears to have a Seren symbol on, even though she is a Zamorakian.
*On Funorb it is revealed that Black bears are followers of Seren.
*Seren shares a similarity with the English word serenity. This may be a reference to the serenity and gracefulness of Elves.
*There is a symbol of Seren at the Gielnor Games Head to Head event.
