The '''Seercull''' is a Fremennik bow that is similar to the [[Magic longbow]], differing only in its lower rate of fire (that of a composite bow), minor weight difference, and special attack. It fires arrows up to rune, and requires Level 50 [[Ranged]] to wield.

The bow's name can be attributed to the combination of the words "seer" (another word for "mage" or "wizard") and "cull" (another word for "kill"). In other words, the termed "mage-killer" remains consistent both with its examine stating that the bow was used to kill [[Moon Clan]] members, who were mages, as well as its magic-reducing special ability.

The Seercull is a rare drop from [[Dagannoth Supreme]]. It appears to be a [[wikipedia:Bow_shape#Recurve_bow|recurve]] bow. It is not commonly seen amongst players due to the magic shortbow being faster and cheaper, in addition to having a generally more useful special attack.

The [[special attack]] of the Seercull is called ''SoulShot''. On a successful hit it will lower the target's [[Magic]] level by 10% of the damage dealt. This can be very useful on targets using any attack styles in [[PvP]] situations. A player's magical defence is based on 70% of their magic level, and 30% of their defence level. For targets using melee or ranged attacks, lowering their magic level by a significant amount will make it much easier to successfully hit them with spells such as [[Entangle]] and [[Tele-block]], even if the target is wearing armour with high magical defence. Furthermore, a reduction in a mage's magic level of course decreases their casting accuracy and power.
