They're difficult to kill since they reside in multicombat areas with other scabarites. They use an incredibly slow magic attack (You are able to get in 4-5 hits with a [[Keris]] before they hit you again). It should also be noted that they can magically put out any light source, making you unable to attack back (except the [[Seers' headband]] which never goes out, but you still receive the "Your lights have been magically extinguished." message when they try to extinguish it).<br />
