The '''Sacred clay magic shield''' is a degradable shield that primarily defends against magic attacks, obtainable from the [[Stealing Creation]] [[minigame]] for 200 Stealing Creation points, and as with the [[Sacred clay shield (melee)|melee]] and [[Sacred clay shield (ranged)|ranged]] shields requires a [[Defence]] level of 65 to equip. It can be transformed into the melee or ranged versions and vice versa at no cost at all, instead losing charge when defending against attacks. The percent of charges left in the shield can be checked by right clicking and selecting Check. Once its charge has run out, it becomes an [[Sacred clay shield (inactive)|inactive sacred clay shield]], which requires another 200 Stealing Creation points to be recharged into a Sacred clay shield with stats. The shield also has a chance to double your [[Damage soaking]] percentage.

The price of 200 Stealing Creation points roughly requires 2 hours in non-combat Stealing Creation games to obtain, or around 3.3 hours in ordinary Stealing Creation games.

The Sacred clay magic shield is tied with the [[Spectral spirit shield]] for best magical defensive bonuses in the game provided by the shield slot.

If you die and do not protect this shield, this item will '''NOT''' appear in your gravestone.
