The '''Royal crown''' is a part of the [[Royal outfit]] released on [[22 February]] [[2010]]. It is worn for strictly decorative purposes. It can be looted from a [[Kingly impling]] or bought from another player. Originally, players believed it was more rare than other Royal items. However, this is not true. All Royal items are equally rare. The [[Royal set]] can be stored in the [[Armour case]] in the [[Costume room]] of a [[Player-owned house]].

==Trivia==
*In the first hour of release, this item appeared in the [[Grand Exchange]] on [[Free play|free]] worlds although this was quickly fixed.
*The crown is the most expensive part of the set by far, mainly because it is in high demand and the crown is more aesthetically pleasing than the other components of the royal set.
*The royal crown is not the same crown that the [[Kingly Impling]] wears, even though it is based on the Kingly impling's crown.
*The market value of the crown started to decrease for the first time on [[19 July]] [[2010]]. This was due to the fact that Kingly Implings were being easily captured commonly in the newly introduced Al Kharid [[resource dungeon]].
*When a player logs out and in while wearing the royal crown, it appears to sink into the back of a player's hair making it look slightly like a tiara. This has yet to be fixed by Jagex, but by removing it and re-equipping it goes back to normal.
