The '''Ravenous snail''' appears near [[Fairy ring]] BKR in the [[Mort Myre Swamp]] when the player is on a [[Slayer/Challenges|Slayer challenge]] assigned by [[Mazchna]] or [[Achtryn]]. For the challenge, the player must be near the ring and must contact Mazchna or Achtryn using an [[Enchanted gem]]. The monster will then charge out of the swamp toward the ring and attack the player.

==Trivia==
*The Ravenous snail is somewhat similar in appearance to the round-shell [[Ochre blamish snail]] that can be found in the Mort Myre Swamp. Unlike the other challenge monsters (the level 42 [[Ravenous ghoul]] which is the same level and very similar or identical in appearance from the regular level 42 [[Ghoul]]; the level 72 [[Ravenous vampyre]] which is the same level and very similar or identical in appearance from the regular level 72 [[Vampyre]]), the ravenous snail is a different level than the ochre blamish snail and only somewhat similar in appearance.

*It is similar to the [[Thorny Snail]] familiar.
*The Ravenous snail seems to retreat into its shell whenever you attack it.
