'''Ranging pedestals''' are a form of a combat ring that can be built in the [[Combat Room]] of a [[player-owned house]]. Like a combat ring, a player may wield any item while on the pedestal; however, the player must use [[Ranged]] or [[Magic]] against the opponent.

Ranging pedestals require level 71 [[Construction]] and 8 [[teak plank]]s. When built, earns the player 720 [[experience]].

Players often use this type of combat room as part of a [[dungeon]], as a "safe room", as the pedestals provide a safe-spot from melee attack, both from other players and any dungeon monsters.
