'''Polyphemus''' was a [[cyclops]] military leader active during the [[God Wars]]. Unlike most cyclops, Polyphemus was not a follower of the [[gods|deity]] [[Bandos]], and instead opted to follow the former [[Mahjarrat]] general [[Zamorak]]. Polyphemus appears only in the [[FunOrb]] game Armies of Gielinor, and as such the [[canon]]icity of his exploits remains debatable.

Polyphemus appears during the "Flight" mission of the [[Saradomin]] Strikes campaign. During the campaign, Polyphemus fights alongside soldiers such as the [[pyrelord]] [[Pazuzu (pyrelord)|Pazuzu]] in east [[Misthalin]], near what is now [[Varrock]]. Polyphemus ultimately meets his death during the battle(although the player can choose not to kill him in the mission).

Polyphemus's name is taken from a [[wikipedia:Polyphemus|cyclops]] in [[wikipedia:The Odyssey|The Odyssey]], a real-world [[wikipedia:Greece|Greek]] [[wikipedia:epic poem|epic poem]] attributed to the writer [[wikipedia:Homer|Homer]].
