'''Player spoof''' is a term often applied to NPCs by members of the [[Runescape Wiki]] that mimic or resemble [[player]]s. They usually carry equipment commonly worn by players, such as [[Barrows equipment]], an [[ancient staff]], or an [[abyssal whip]]. They are not controlled by a real [[Jagex]] operative but almost always feature in [[cutscenes]] so do not need 'playing'. They are [[NPC]]s.
