A '''Pile of salt''' is an [[item]] that can be made by using a [[full bucket]] on the centre piece of the suntrap in [[Sophanem]]. It is first acquired during the [[quest]] [[Itchlarin's Little Helper]].

Before the advent of the [[Grand Exchange]] the item could be sold to [[The Spice is Right]] store in Sophanem. Now, however, a message appears saying, "You can't sell this item." as there was an update on 20 November 2007 that made some quest items non-tradeable . This item cannot be used in place of the [[Bag of salt]] to kill [[Rockslug]]s.
