A '''Pickaxe handle''' was the handle of a [[pickaxe]] and a discontinued item from the [[pickaxe]] random event.

Whilst players [[mining|mined]], the [[random event]] caused the [[Pickaxe head|head of their pickaxe]] to fly off. Players had to pick it up and attach it back onto the handle.

Similar to the random event which produced [[axe head]]s and [[axe handle]]s, when a pickaxe head flew off, the handle still stayed equipped and, once removed, could not be re-quipped.

This was removed due to players complaining that expensive pickaxes could be lost because the player was [[AFK]] when the head flew off.
==Trivia==
*One of the reasons the random event was removed was due to complaints on the forums about other players picking up the pickaxe head whilst the owner was not aware. They would typically blackmail the owner for cash for them to get it back.
*When they, along with the hatchet handles, were removed from the game, anyone who owned one was given a random event gift either in their inventory or bank, depending on where it was when the update occurred.
