Killing revenants is a challenging and difficult task. Most players choose not to kill revenants as it is very dangerous and often does not give a suitable reward, but others like to kill them for the fun and glory. Before going out to kill one, prepare yourself so you don't suffer a quick and painful death. The unofficial world to Revenant hunt for Members is world 98.

About Revenants
Revenants are undead creatures that patrol the wilderness. They were thought to have been slain in the god wars, but their angry souls live on. See revenants for more information.

Locations
Revenants patrol every corner of the wilderness, but some locations tend to attract more revenants.

East of clan wars (18-25)
This place is a very common hotspot for revenants as many people come here to kill green dragons for their valuable drops.
The most common revenants here are:

*Revenant ork (very common)
*Revenant vampyre (slightly common)
*Revenant knight (common)
*Revenant werewolf (slightly common)

Uncommon revenants
*Revenant goblin
*Revenant imp
*Revenant icefiend
*Revenant pyrefiend

Extremely rare revenants
*Revenant cyclops
*Revenant demon
*Revenant dark beast
*Revenant dragon
*Revenant hobgoblin
*Revenant hellhound

Chaos Temple (hut)
This temple resides in level 38 wilderness. Although the area is not multi-combat, the temple itself is. Clans often hunt revenants here because there is an altar nearby for them to recharge their prayer points. A common tactic is to have the clan send out several scouts to lure a revenant inside the altar so they can pile it together.

The most common revenants to show up here are:
*Revenant Vampyre
*Revenant Ork
*Revenant Knight
*Revenant Werewolf

Beware: Hiding in the altar is not completely safe. A revenant may sometimes come from the south and go through the door and attack you

The Woods
The woods south-east of the activity Clan Wars is a seldom visited spot, but rarer revenants have been sighted here, including:

*Revenant Imp
*Revenant Goblin
*Revenant Hobgoblin
*Revenant Cyclops
*Revenant Hellhound
*Revenant Demon

Bandit Camp
This place is like a safer version of demonic ruins because it is in lower level wilderness. This is a common patrol route for Vampyres, as well as the occasional Werewolf or Orc, who enter from the south entrance and patrol the camp before disappearing. There are several buildings that you can hide in (or out if the revenants happens to get in) and you can just shut the door on them. Keep in mind that once Revenants have a target, they can not pass through doors, but can do so on set patrol routes. This place is multi-combat, with bandits that will attack you.

Revenants:
*Revenant icefiend
*Revenant Pyrefiend
*Revenant Vampyre
*Revenant Ork

Wilderness Skeleton Mine
This mine is a hot-spot for lower types of revenants, as well as the occasional Orc and rare types such as the Cyclops and Dark Beast. Unfortunately, this is only level 9 wilderness so you can only kill one or two different kinds of revenants.

Revenants that come here:
*Revenant Imp
*Revenant Goblin (All levels)
*Revenant Vampyre
*Revenant Cyclops
*Revenant Hellhound
*Revenant Ork
*Revenant Dark Beast
*Revenant Knight
*Revenant Dragon

Western Ruins
A common revenant hotspot and spawn location, as well as a patrol route for groups of Revenant Werewolves, single Orks and Knights.

Rogue's Castle
One of the best places to revenant hunt with friends. Many revenants respawn at the Obelisk to the South-East of the castle. Along with that, a few armies of revenants pass by the Eastern wall of the castle frequently. The one major draw back however would be the Chaos Elemental which will not come into the castle unless lured by players.

Demonic Ruins
This place is one of the best places to see higher levelled revenants, usually revenants orks, revenant werewolves, and revenant knights. The hardest part is getting there, as it is surrounded by level 92 Greater Demons. If there is a revenant outside the demon safe area, it is not recommended you step outside the safe area due to the Greater Demons.

Mage of Zamorak
This place is an extremely common place for revenants to come. All types of revenants come here and extremely often.
This place is also surrounded by skeletons so if you're not paying attention to your screen you could die a horrible death. However, as the Mage of Zamorak is quite close to Edgeville Bank, it is possible to run back and retrieve your items before your grave disappears, depending on what type of grave you have.

Inventory
Common inventory items include higher food such as Monks, Sharks, and Rocktails, as well as Super Sets and Prayer Potions. Familiars are often used to carry additional items.

Food
One of the most cost-effective types of food for the usually no-profit Revenants are monkfish. Lower level players and those risking for longer trips in higher Wilderness or against multiple Revenants are recommended Sharks or Rocktails instead.

Potions
If you're going into members Wilderness, bring at least one antipoison, as all Revenants that spawn there can poison. Below members Wilderness only Dragons can, and those are rare enough.

Super Sets are good for those wishing to save food for faster kills, those soloing higher-end Revenants, and lower-level players.

Familiars
Common famliars include War Tortoises and Terrorbirds, the latter generally preferred due to Tireless Run scrolls, which are helpful for the large amounts of running generally needed for Revenant Hunting. Sometimes combat familiars such as titans are used, as well as Unicorn Stallions. Bunyips are less common due to the sporatic nature of actually FINDING revenants to kill, causing Bunyip's continious healing to be wasted.

Melee
Equipment: Common set-ups are armours that provide high magic defence, as well as balanced melee and range defence (such as Dragonhide), as Revenants can use all three types of combat, with magic and range (respectively) being the most common attacks. Although the most efficient way is to use armour with high range and melee defence while using protecting from mage.

*Helm of neitiznot > Berserker helm > Warrior helm > Dragonhide coif
*Fire cape > Soul Wars cape > Skill cape > Obsidian cape > Cape of legends > Any other cape
*Salve amulet (e) > Salve amulet > Amulet of fury > Amulet of glory > God stole > Other amulets
*Chaotic rapier > Godsword > Abyssal whip > Saradomin sword > Korasi's sword > Dragon scimitar > Dragon mace > Dragon dagger
*Bandos chestplate > Barrows equipment > Karil's top > Dragonhide armour > Rune platebody
*Bandos tassets >Barrows equipment > Karil's skirt > Dragonhide armour > Rune platelegs
*Dragon boots > Bandos boots > Snakeskin boots > Climbing boots > Rune boots
*Dragon defender > Falador shield 3 > Dragonfire shield > Spirit shield > Rune defender > Toktz-ket-xil > Dragon sq shield
*Jennica's ring

Range
Equipment: Ranging Revenants is less common than meleeing them, as bonuses provided by Salve or Salve(e) can easily outstrip damage from range attacks. Those ranging Revenants sometimes use Enchanted Bolts to increase damage output.

*Helm of neitiznot
