The '''Offhand chaotic rapier''' is an item similar to the [[Beta:Chaotic rapier|Chaotic rapier]] except that it is equipped to the shield slot. In the Beta it can be obtained for free from the [[Rewards Trader]] in Daemonheim, although [[Dungeoneering|80 Dungeoneering]] is required.

It has been confirmed by JAGEX that offhand chaotics including the rapier, longsword and crossbow will cost 100,000 reward tokens from the dungeoneering rewards trader, aswell as that the repair costs reduce to the choice of 1,000,000 gp or the seperate payment method of 100,000 gp and 10,000 tokens combined. (From 0 charges)

This argument is somewhat countered by the fact that you can wear a one-handed chaotic with a shield, however, many players did not purchase these weapons with the intent of tanking, rather with the intent of the heavy damage that these weapons provide.

Thus far, Jagex has not commented on nor acknowledged this issue.
