The '''Novite platebody''' is an item that can only be obtained and used while training [[Dungeoneering]]. It may be picked up from the table at the beginning of a dungeon, obtained as a monster drop, or produced using the [[Smithing]] skill.<br />

It can be produced by using 5 [[Novite bars]] with a [[hammer]] on an [[anvil]], requiring level 9 Smithing and granting 72.5 smithing [[experience]].<br />
This armour is similar to bronze as it is the weakest and most easily obtainable in the Dungeons. [[Novite ore]] is the least expensive ore you can obtain from the [[Smuggler]], and it can be smithed to produce novite armour.<br />

Stat-wise, the novite platebody is very similar to the [[iron platebody]], having 1 less in slash, stab and crush defence.<br />
<br />
Many players do not seem to worry about how weak the armour is, as most of the monsters in the Dungeon hit less often even with only Novite. Like with all tiers of armour in Daemonheim, the Novite platebody is stronger than the [[Novite chainbody]] in terms of slash and stab defence bonus.<br />
