The '''Nose peg''' is a [[Pay-to-play|member's only]] piece of [[Slayer]] equipment used in the Slayer skill. It requires 60 [[Slayer]] to wear. When worn, the peg protects the [[player]] from the special attack of the [[Aberrant Spectre]] which, if not equipped, will cause a rapid and significant reduction in the player's stats and [[life points]]. The nose peg can be bought from any [[Slayer Master]]. It is one of the items needed for constructing a [[Slayer helmet]] and a [[Full slayer helmet]]. When talking to NPCs, the nose peg resembles a clothes peg or clothespin.

Note: Using Protect from Magic while not wearing the nose peg is futile, as aberrant spectres can hit through prayer and drain your combat stats next to nothing in a few hits if not wearing the nosepeg.
