A '''Newt''' is a quest item obtained during the [[Swept Away]] quest. It is given to players by [[Gus]], the delivery ghoul, after helping him sort the labelling of the crates in [[Hetty]]'s basement.<br />

Once obtained, the newt must be given to Hetty for it to be used in the [[Broom ointment]]. The ointment can then be used on the [[Broomstick]] to enchant it.<br />
