[[Fungal flake|Fungal flakes]], [[Grifolic flake|Grifolic flakes]] or [[Ganodermic flake|Ganodermic flakes]] can be added to the Mycelium pieces to upgrade them to [[Fungal armour]], [[Grifolic armour]] or [[Ganodermic armour]]. The flakes are added using the crafting skill. The crafting levels required to do this range from 3 for the [[Fungal visor]] to 98 for the [[Ganodermic poncho]]. All armour made with the flakes are degradable, and are repaired using more flakes of that type.

Mycelium Web armour is currently the 3rd highest mage bonus gear available to level 1 defence characters, behind [[Ghostly robes]] and [[Runecrafter robes]] although the Mycelium gear requires no stats to obtain or wield.
