'''Mudskipper hats''' are nontradeable hats that are occasionally dropped by [[Mogre]]s. To fight Mogres, a player must complete the [[Mogre (miniquest)|Mogre miniquest]] and have 32 [[Slayer]].

The hats are either ignored, alched or kept as a novelty item. It serves no other purpose aside from aesthetics. They are occasionally worn with [[Flippers]].

When talking while wearing a Mudskipper hat, the player's chat head will show the hat as a completely different-looking hat. It has been like this since the release of [[RuneScape High Detail]].

The Mudskipper Hat can also make the top half of the player's face disappear when talking to NPCs. Unusually the players chin remains intact and visible.
