A '''Mirror shield''' is a piece of [[Slayer]] equipment used for fighting [[Cockatrice]]s and [[Basilisk]]s, requiring 20 [[defence]] and 25 slayer to wield. While fighting these monsters, the shield must be equipped, or the player's stats will be drastically reduced.<br />

It can be bought from any [[Slayer master]] for 5,000 coins or by trading with another player.<br />
You can also buy it from the Grand Exchange.<br />

Its defence bonuses are in between an iron kiteshield and a steel square shield. It is often favoured by magic and ranged builds as it has no attack bonus penalty as well as superior stats to the [[anti-dragon shield]].<br />
