The '''Mining instructor''' on [[Tutorial Island]] (named '''Dezzick''') was the fifth [[non-player character]] that a beginning player met in ''[[RuneScape]]'' when the Tutorial Island was in use. He informed players about [[Mining]] and [[Smithing]] skills.

Dezzick was a [[miner]] by trade. He was one of the more friendly Tutorial Island [[tutor]]s, unlike his neighbour [[Vannaka]]. He was skilled at [[mining]] and also knew how to smith many different kinds of [[weapon]]s.

After the update where Tutorial Island was taken over by [[Learning the Ropes]], the Mining instructor is no longer in-game.

*Dezzick appeared to be wielding a [[Steel pickaxe]].
*Before an update, He used to wield a [[rune pickaxe]].
*He was wearing a [[Strung rabbit foot]], [[leather gloves]], and a Grey [[pirate bandana]].
