'''Marigolds''' are flowers that can be planted in a [[Farming/Patch locations#Flower patches|flower patch]] with the [[Farming]] skill using [[marigold seed]]s. They are not edible, contrary to what one might expect.

Currently the only non-farming uses for these flowers are as a tertiary component for the [[Bull ant]] [[Pouch]] in the [[Summoning]] skill and as the protection payment for growing [[hammerstone hops]]. Before Summoning, street prices were 750-3,000 coins, whereas now they cost {{GEPrice|Marigolds}} coins.

Planting marigolds in a Farming flower plot will protect [[potato]], [[onion]], and [[tomato]] allotments from [[Disease (Farming)|disease]]. Growing marigolds in a Farming plot requires a [[weed]]ed plot, [[marigold seed]], a [[seed dibber]], and level 2 Farming.

Marigolds take 17.5 minutes to grow. They are a great way to make an early profit from Farming, as they only require level 2, the seeds are cheap, they grow quickly, and they sell high.
