It gives a 200% [[Prayer]] experience when bones or [[Demonic ashes]] are offered at it. With one [[Mahogany burners|mahogany burner]] lit, it gives 250% Prayer experience while two lit mahogany burners will give 300% experience.

Building a marble altar requires 70 Construction, 2 [[marble block]]s and 2 [[Bolt of cloth|bolts of cloth]]. Creating a marble altar gives the player 1,030 Construction experience.

A useful thing to do, should the player be training construction, is to skip building this altar and instead save up for the [[Gilded altar]] which can be built only 5 levels later. It would be a much more efficient way of training [[Prayer]].

* When offering demonic ashes at an altar, the altar's offering animation shows bones instead of ashes.
