The '''Magic longbow''' is the strongest longbow that can be made. It can use arrows up to [[rune arrows|rune]]. The magic longbow requires a [[Ranged]] level of 50 or higher to wield. However, even players way above 50 benefit from using this strong weapon.

[[Pay-to-play|Members]] can make a magic longbow through the [[Fletching]] skill at level 85. First, a player has to cut an [[magic longbow (u)|unstrung magic longbow]] from [[magic logs]], granting 91.5 Fletching [[experience]]. Then, the player must string the unstrung magic longbow with a [[bow string]], granting a further 91.5 experience. This adds up to a total of 183 Fletching experience for each magic longbow fletched.

At level 45 [[Dungeoneering]] and at the cost of 10,000 tokens, a [[longbow sight]] can be attached, boosting the bow's ranged attack bonus to +140 and decreasing the time between shots by an extra game tick (0.6 seconds,) giving it the same speed as a longsword.

Many members believe the magic longbow to be better than the magic shortbow. When a longbow sight is attached, it becomes one of the most powerful ranged weapons in the game in terms of Ranged Attack Bonus. 10,000 tokens equates to 100,000 experience, unlike a chaotic crossbow which is far more powerful, but costs 200,000 tokens and equates to 2 million experience, requiring level 80 Dungeoneering.

This weapon has a powerful [[special attack]] called "Power Shot", that uses only 35% of the [[special attack bar]]. It's an accurate shot that will hit with an increased [[ranged]] skill of 5%. It does not fire 2 arrows for its special like the [[magic shortbow]].

Magic longbows used to be [[High Alchemy|high alched]] quite often for a profit. However, this led to them no longer being profitable in terms of gold or experience, seeing as many others things are far more cost efficient to train on.
