Amthyst was the elderly leader of the [[Burthorpe Imperial Guard]] and personal advisor to [[Prince Anlaf]], the leader of [[Burthorpe]]. He was a casualty of the [[War of 164]].<br /> <br /> Amthyst was the first [[Lord Daquarius]] and his [[Kinshra]] men encountered when they charged Burthorpe Palace. Wanting to use the Prince as their puppet, Daquarius had Amthyst executed in the manner of a traitor, being cut into pieces and scattered throughout the courtyard.<br /> <br /> Anlaf, already mentally unstable due to [[The Sybil]]&#039;s witchcraft, believed Daquarius&#039;s reasoning for Amthyst&#039;s execution. Daquarius claimed Amthyst had secretly been poisoning Anlaf, although this was untrue.
