It is used to kill [[Turoth]] and [[Kurask]]s, with the only alternatives [[Magic Dart]], [[Leaf-bladed sword]], [[Broad arrow]]s and [[Broad-tipped bolts]]. Level 55 [[slayer]] and level 50 [[Attack]] are needed to wield. It is a two-handed weapon, which means that it uses both the sword and shield slots. Because of the inability to wield a shield, the limited attack options, and the attack speed, many players prefer to use the Leaf-bladed sword instead of the spear to kill Turoth and Kurasks<br />
