It was he who made the proclamation stating that whoever returned the [[Restored shield|Shield of Arrav]] would receive 1200 [[coins]] (then a large amount), as it was in his time that the shield was stolen.

The statue outside of [[Lumbridge Castle]] is leaning little forward but the queen next to him is not. This might suggest that King Roald II had a bad back.

After the adventurer (the player) returns the [[Shield of Arrav]], you then receive 1200 coins and other tokens of appreciation, and thus, granting the lost request of the King Roald Remanis II.
