The '''Iron mace''' is stronger than the [[bronze mace]] and weaker than the steel mace. Players can make an iron mace with the [[smithing]] skill at level 17 using one [[iron bar]], giving the player 25 smithing [[experience]]. Players can purchase this mace from Flynn's Mace Market in [[Falador#Flynn's Mace Market|Falador]]. An iron mace also respawns by the wilderness in edgeville and on the first floor of a house in [[Ardougne]], which needs level 14 [[thieving]] to picklock the door. It is rarely used in combat. Oddly, The iron mace is more powerful than the [[Bronze mace]] but significantly cheaper.

Before the update on [[August 17]], [[2011]], an iron mace respawned in the guard's house in [[Edgeville]]. This house is now impossible to enter and, after [[Ritual of the Mahjarrat]], the inside is destroyed. The mace now respawns by the north-east corner of the house instead.
