Unlike normal Icefiends, these attack with both [[magic]] and [[ranged]], making them challenging foes if they are high-levelled. Their magic attack resembles a [[water blast]]. Formally despite the update on 24 June 2010, their animations remain unchanged. Thus if a player wants to see the old animation of water blast, they would have to encounter the Icefiend in [[Daemonheim]]. However this was changed in a [[hidden update]].
