'''Hardleather body''' is [[leather armour]] most commonly worn by [[Combat classes#Ranger|rangers]]. Hardleather body requires 10 [[Defence]] to wear. Players can make this item through the [[Crafting]] skill at level 28 from a [[hard leather]], while having a [[needle]] and some [[thread]] in their inventory, granting 35 Crafting [[experience]]. One spool of thread is used for every five bodies. Hardleather bodies are commonly made by non-members in bulk, furthermore, this has caused the prices of it to rarely exceed any more than 80 coins on the Grand Exchange.

Due to overproduction by [[F2P]] players training crafting, the Grand Exchange price of the item's price has dropped far below the low alchemy and the store price. The supply of this item is always over-saturated, so it is strongly recommended to use the [[Explorer ring]]'s free Low alchemy to prevent further loss by crafting them.

Contrary to its appearance, a [[studded body]] is not made by using [[steel studs]] on a hardleather body, but by using the studs on a [[leather body|soft-leather body]].
