The '''Guthix bow''' was released along with the [[Zamorak bow]] and [[Saradomin bow]] in [[Update:Elite Treasure Trails and New Rewards|an update]] on [[4 August]] [[2010]]. It requires 55 [[ranged]] to use. It can only be obtained as a reward from [[Treasure Trail]]s as a reward of finishing a [[clue scroll (elite)]], or buying it off another player or from the [[Grand Exchange]].

Wielding it gives a ranged bonus of +80, almost reaching the [[Rune crossbow]]'s bonus. The [[God bows]] also give a small [[Prayer bonus]] of +4.

''Balanced Shot'', the bow's [[Special attacks|special attack]], deals 50% extra damage and heals the player by the damage dealt, draining 55% of the special attack bar. This heals the player by 10% of the original hit every 6 seconds (10 [[game ticks]]), resulting in the full heal taking one minute. For example, if you were to hit 200, you would be healed 20 [[life points]] every 6 seconds to a total of 200 at the end of the one minute effect. If a second ''Balanced Shot'' is activated while still healing through a first "Balanced Shot", the healing effect will stack with the previous one.

==Trivia==
*This bow increases the chance of bonus damage caused by [[Guthix arrows]] from 10% to 20%.
*The special attack is the combination of the [[Zamorak bow]] (dealing extra damage) and the [[Saradomin bow]] (healing over time). This explains why it is "balanced".
*This bow also has a grip similar to a longbow which is midway between the [[Zamorak bow]] (which is a recurve bow and so has a very straight grip) and the Saradomin bow (which is very similar to a shortbow in appearance, with a curved grip), thus making it "balanced".
*This bow has a prayer bonus (+4) this is unique as no other bow (except the other 2 god bows) offer a [[Prayer]] bonus ([[Zanik's crossbow]] has a [[Prayer]] penalty of -5).
