'''Guthan's helm''' is [[Armour#Melee armour|melee armour]] worn in the [[Inventory#Headwear Slot|headwear slot]] that is part of [[Guthan the Infested's equipment|Guthan The Infested's set]] of [[barrows equipment]]. To wear Guthan's helm, a player must have 70 [[Defence]]. Guthan's helm has the second highest defensive bonuses drawn with [[Torag's helm]], both being succeeded by the [[Torva full helm]] for first place.

Being part of Guthan's barrows set, if Guthan's helm is worn along with all of the other pieces of equipment in Guthan's barrows set the player receives a special effect. Successful attacks have a chance of replenishing [[life points]] equal to the damage the player deals. This piece of armour '''cannot''' be made using the [[Smithing]] [[skill]]. It is commonly used by rangers as a helm, due to the low range attack deduction, and high melee defences.

Despite Guthan's having more than average combat stats, it is mostly used by players to heal (and saves space that would have been used bringing food) and then they revert back to their regular melee armour. This method saves money and ultimately puts off having to repair the armour as regularly.

*Guthan's helm is only tradeable when undamaged or fully broken.

* Guthan's helm used to look similar to [[Arrav]]'s helm.
* If a player wears this helmet (along with any other helmet with horns) and talk to any [[Minotaur]] familiar, a rather funny conversation will occur.
*Guthan's helm worn by [[Guthan the Infested]] is ''less ''detailed than a player's. This is due to the Barrows Brother's outdated graphics.
*A red version of Guthan's helm is worn by the level 81 and 84 Zamorak warriors, along with what appears to be a [[Zamorak kiteshield]] and [[Vesta's longsword]].
*Some players who buy the Guthan's set complain that your character's chathead can be seen through the helmet, making it seem much less threatening.
*Guthan's helm and [[Torag's helm]] have equal defensive stats, but the Torag's helm is cheaper due to the less useful set effect.
*There is currently (As of November 4th, 2012) a glitch where this helmet will cause female players' heads to 'detatch' from their bodies. This, as of now, has not been fixed.
