'''Grum''' is a [[Non-player character]] who runs [[Grum's Gold Exchange]] in [[Port Sarim]]. He buys and sells unenchanted [[ring]]s, [[amulet]]s and [[necklace]]s from [[sapphire]] up to [[diamond]].

Grum's clothes are various shades of purple. Since purple dye was expensive in medieval Europe<ref>[http://www.bucks-retinue.org.uk/content/view/139/177/ Medieval Dyeing, Buckingham's Retinue Reenactment Site]</ref>, Grum may wear this colour to reflect his wealth. Being a [[jewellery]] trader, this would make sense.

During Merlin's Crystal quest, players will have to bring a loaf of bread to his gold exchange in order to receive the Excalibur from the Lady of the lake.

After the release of RuneScape HD, Grum now has a glitch which makes his head disappear in the playscreen (but not in talking dialogues) making him seemingly headless.

==Trivia==
* In [[RuneScape Classic]], Grum was dressed completely in pinkish clothing, and had a bald head. Many players seemed to make jokes about this feminine appearance, until Jagex gave him a beard and changed his clothes.
