Grifolic armour is a medium level degradable magical armour requiring 55 magic and defence and degrades over 10 hours when used. It is created by using the Crafting skill to attach [[Grifolic flakes]] to a piece of [[Mycelium web armour]] using a [[needle]] and [[thread]].

The armour is not often used as it is expensive to maintain compared to other armours due to the material cost of each repair and the high skill. In addition, the level required is quite low and easily outtrained and replaced by higher level armour, even for pures, such as [[Ahrim's robes]]. It also has quite low magic attack bonuses for a degradable item, almost equaled by the Mystic robe set and surpassed by the non-degradable Infinity robes.

The only situation where Grifolic armour is useful is for siutuations where a high magical defence is required. It easily surpasses any quality of [[Dragonhide armour]] in this regard.

==Crafting and repair==

An item can be restored to pristine condition if the player has 65-78 Crafting (depending on the piece) by using [[grifolic flakes]] on it while the player has a [[needle]] and [[thread]] in their inventory or in their [[toolbelt]] in the case of a needle.

For the [[Grifolic visor]], 400 grifolic flakes, the [[Mycelium visor web]] and 65 [[Crafting]] are required.

For the [[Grifolic poncho]], 3500 grifolic flakes, the [[Mycelium poncho web]] and 78 Crafting are required.

For the [[Grifolic leggings]], 1200 grifolic flakes, the [[Mycelium leggings web]] and 72 Crafting are required.

To make a full set, 5100 Grifolic flakes are required. This has a price of {{#expr: {{GEPrice|Grifolic flake|n}}*5100}} coins.

*Grifolic armour, along with [[Ganodermic armour]] and [[Fungal armour]], are the only armour in RuneScape that gives higher soak percentage in their own style than the style they are supposed to be strong against, according to the [[combat triangle]].
*Despite being medium level equipment, the ranged defence of Grifolic armour is very low - a [[bronze platebody]] gives higher ranged defence than the whole set. This is likely to ensure there is a [[combat triangle]] weakness for this mage armour, due to its extremely high anti-magic defence.
