'''Grandpa Jack''' is a retired fisherman living in a house in [[Hemenster]], just south-east of the [[McGrubor's Wood]].

He plays a small, yet vital role in the [[Fishing Contest]] [[quest]], where he advises the player on how to beat the [[Sinister Stranger]] in order to win the [[Fishing trophy]]. He will also give the player information on the [[red vine worms]] during the quest.

*According to [[Bonzo]], Jack is the only resident in Hemenster who managed to hook a [[whitefish]], after which it escaped, thus making the player the first one to do it during [[Land of the Goblins]], even without great efforts.
*In [[Runescape Classic]] he used to be south of the [[Ardougne Zoo]].
*In Runescape Classic he states he has won the Fishing Contest four times in a row, he once went fishing at [[Catherby]] and caught nothing but lots of boots and [[seaweed]], but then suddenly found a [[Casket]] with a [[Diamond]] in it.
