Gnomes are monsters found in various parts of Gielinor. They can be found primarily in the Gnome Empire, although they are most common in the Tree Gnome Village, Tree Gnome Stronghold, and Battlefield of Khazard. Gnomes fight with either ranged or melee attacks, depending on the weapon they wield. They have different coloured hoods.
left
Locations
* Gnome Empire
* Tree Gnome Village (city)
* Tree Gnome Stronghold
* Battlefield of Khazard

Pickpocketing
Gnomes can be pickpocketed at level 75 Thieving; doing so yields 198.3 Thieving experience, and one of the items listed below. It is recommended not to pickpocket them until you have level 85 Thieving, because even with Ardougne cloak 3 and Gloves of Silence, you will fail most of the time.

At level 85 Thieving (along with level 75 Agility), it is possible to steal double loot from gnomes. Level 95 Thieving (along with 85 Agility), is required to get triple loot. This can be good money for advanced thieves, earning up to 150,000 experience and 300,000 coins per hour.

It is also worth knowing that, like men, they only hit you for 10 life points (formerly 1 hitpoint) at a failed attempt; this can save you a lot of food. If you eat the king worms or the toad's legs (legs are removed from swamp toad) that are pickpocketed from them, you can train on them without having to use any food.

A successful pickpocketing attempt will gain one of the following loot:

*300 Coins
*Earth rune (1) (Stackable)
*Gold ore (1)
*Fire orb (1)
*Swamp toad (may be removed to get toad's legs)
*King worm (1)
*Court Summons

Gnomes can also drop charms, but very rarely.

Trivia
*All gnomes were graphically updated on 9 February 2011, with the release of Prisoner of Glouphrie. They were again graphically updated on 7 March 2012 as part of a gnome and armour remake
