The '''Giant crypt rat''' is found in the tunnels of the [[Barrows]]. They are only found in the Central Western Room along with regular [[Crypt Rat]]s and any other monsters that spawn when you open the door to go into the room. They look like normal [[giant rat]]s with the exception of a single Giant crypt rat which has a slight greenish tint and is usually at the centre of the room. They can be a small threat when low on health or run energy. Every time you kill one your [[Barrows]] kill count will be raised by one, with the exception being if someone else has already lowered it to below half health. They are also a constant annoyance if they are in the room with your Puzzle Door (refer to [[Barrows]]). They have a max hit of about 90 life points, but they rarely hit over 60.

They can also be found in two caves within the [[Chaos Tunnels]]. They drop many more charms here than in Barrows.
