The '''Frozen Waste Plateau''' (also called '''Ice Plateau''') is located in the north-west corner of the [[Wilderness]]. The area spans both [[free-to-play]] and [[members]] areas. It contains [[ice giant]]s and [[ice warrior]]s in the free-to-play area, and [[ice spider]]s in the members area. There are also spawns of [[water rune]]s, [[cosmic rune]]s, and [[law rune]]s.<br />

The highest-level beacon of the [[Beacon Network]] is found in the members' part of the Frozen Waste Plateau. It requires level 92 [[Firemaking]] to light and has no keeper.<br />

The area can be quickly accessed using the [[Ghorrock Teleport]] from the [[Ancient Magicks]] spellbook or the [[Ice Plateau Teleport]] from the [[Lunar spells|Lunar spellbook]], both of which teleport to the same spot.<br />

For some reason, the westernmost gate to cross into the members only area of the Wilderness was removed as of 13 December 2011 during the Wilderness graphical update. The gate has been added back on an unknown date.<br />
