The '''Fractite maul(tier 5)''' is a maul stronger than the [[Kratonite]], [[Marmaros]], [[Bathus]], and [[Novite mauls]], and is also the weapon with highest attack and strength bonus available to free players within [[Daemonheim]]. It is used in the [[Dungeoneering]] skill and as such cannot be taken out of Daemonheim. It requires 40 [[Strength]] to wield. Players can make a Fractite maul with the [[Smithing]] skill at level 48 using four [[Fractite bar]]s, giving the player 200 Smithing [[experience]]. Unfortunately, if you or any of your team members don't have the Smithing level to make it, the only way to get it is to obtain it as a drop from [[brute]]s, [[forgotten warrior]]s wielding mauls, [[Rammernaut]] or as starting kit.<br />

Because of its large crush bonus, it is particularly useful against enemies such as skeletons. Although there are many enemies that have crush as one of their strengths, because of its high attack bonus, it is useful against almost any enemy in Daemonheim. Nonetheless, the [[fractite spear]] is probably a better choice considering its faster speed and flexibility. The fractite spear has also three attack types whereas the fractite maul has one. This weapon can also be obtained on the resource table when you start a new floor of a dungeon, albeit rarely.<br />

It is also worthwhile to note that the difference in strength bonus between the Fractite maul and the Kratonite maul is much larger than the strength bonus between any other F2P mauls within Daemonheim. This is similar to the pattern between Adamant and Rune weapons or armour outside of Daemonheim. It shares its attack styles with warhammers.<br />

The fractite maul has the highest crush attack bonus in the entire free-to-play game, surpassing a [[gravite 2h sword]] by 12, but its strength bonus is 8 lower.<br />
