The '''flameburst defender''' is a [[defender]] released with the [[Dungeoneering]] skill on [[12 April]] [[2010]]. It is held in the shield slot. It is dropped by [[Pyrefiend (Daemonheim)|pyrefiends]] inside the dungeons. It requires 33 [[Defence]] and [[Magic]] to wield. Unlike other defenders, which require Attack levels, this one requires a specific Magic level.<br />

When the Flameburst defender is equipped along with a [[frostbite dagger]], your maximum damage is reduced by 10, which is somewhat mitigated by the strength bonus, and your [[Attack]] is boosted by +10% and the dagger's extra damage is increased from 50 to 100. The hailstorm dagger, when wielded, will also receive this damage boost from the defender.<br />
