A '''Fire orb''' is made by casting a [[Charge Fire Orb]] on an [[unpowered orb]] (requires level 63 [[Magic]], 30 fire runes, 3 cosmic runes and an unpowered orb). It must be cast at the [[Fire obelisk]] located in the [[Taverley Dungeon]] west of the Black Dragons. With 80 [[Agility]], one can quickly access the obelisk by using the "strange floor" jump near the entrance to the dungeon. If one does not have 80 Agility, It would be helpful to use a Familiar that restores your run energy, such as Bull ant, Terror Bird, etc.and just walk around the dungeon to get to the Fire Obelisk. [[Pickpocketing]] [[gnomes]], [[hero]]es, and [[elves]] can yield a fire orb. They are also an uncommon drop from [[Killerwatt]]s, but the difficulty of these creatures makes this a poor way to gain the orbs.

Using a fire orb on a [[battlestaff]] makes a [[fire battlestaff]], yielding 125 [[Crafting]] experience (requires level 62 [[Crafting]]).
