He began his studies in [[Ardougne]], but soon he met people who were celebrating their friends' deaths instead of mourning. The more Joakim considered it, the more he liked it and he, under disguise, returned to Ardougne to gather enough knowledge on the subject. He traced the roots of the rituals back to [[Karamja]].
