'''Extreme ranging''' potions are made by players using the [[Herblore]] [[skill]]. It requires a Herblore level of 92 to make. When consumed, the player will get a boost in the Ranged skill between 4 to 23 levels depending on the player's Ranged level. The formula may be <math>floor((Ranged Level/5.2)+4)</math>.

A [[Ranging potion]] (3-dose) and 5 [[Grenwall spikes]] are the ingredients required to create this potion. Making this potion will give 260 herblore experience. The potion cannot be made with the [[assistance]] of others.

This is by far the fastest experience for any Extreme potion, due to the stackable Grenwall spikes, which allows banking out 27 ranging potions at one time. However, it's also the most expensive extreme potion.

This potion, along with an [[Extreme attack]], [[Extreme defence]], [[Extreme strength]], and [[Extreme magic]], can be used with [[clean torstol]] at 96 Herblore to make an [[Overload]] potion.

Untradeable potions including special restores, overloads, etc. cannot be used in dangerous PvP situations, except for super prayer restores and super antifire potions.

This potion cannot be used anywhere in the Wilderness except for one or two spaces away from the [[Wilderness wall]], [[King Black Dragon]] or [[Corporeal Beast]]. This is because the space right next to the Wilderness wall and the King Black Dragon and Corporeal Beast are not considered PvP areas. If a player travels to any other part of the Wilderness after drinking an extreme ranging potion, the boosts will be reduced to the power of a normal ranging potion.

The data in this table is based on the Grand Exchange prices of the potion's ingredients. It is accurate assuming all tradeable ingredients are bought off the Grand Exchange.

== Flask ==
This potion can be made into an [[Extreme ranging flask]] by using at least six doses of it with a [[Potion flask]]. Players do not need a specific level to turn potions into flasks, but since all untradeable potions must be made by the player, the flasks actually have the same level requirement as the potion itself.
